The gift of a Vintage/Antique Camera?

So my guy’s birthday is coming up and he is into photography but not soo much to the extreme he has a Nikon D90. Anyway I was brainstorming what to get him and i thought it would be cool to find an old vinatge camera. I am sure he would not use it but i thought it could be a neat show thing and its kind of a thoughful gift. Is this a bad idea? If not any suggestions on what kind of vinatge camera to look for or where?

You could also buy a vintage camera like a Kodak Brownie and put it in a nice plastic case. The camera itself is not worth much but a decent looking one in a display case might look good on the mantle. You could substitute the Brownie for another nice but affordable vintage camera.
