Makeup portfolio photography lens?
what would be the best type of lens for a nikon d40 to shoot an amateur makeup portfolio? its just for a friend so no need for professional style lens. just something simple.
The 18-55 mm is a great lens for that.
Friend or not, the lens you use will be the same.
I shoot a lot of work for many MUA’s in my area and I use my 24-70 mm f/2.8 lens and a 750 watt Lowel-Tota light with umbrella
I use that lens because I own it because I am a fashion photographer and it is one of my many lenses I use in my work.
The 18-55 mm is an excellent lens for shooting the models your MUA is using
