DETROIT FEMALE SINGER, Sarah June has been busy working on material for her third release, which rumor has it will be named “Numbered Streets”. After huge demand from fans across the globe, the notorious tattoo model and talented singer songwriter has announced that she will be first releasing an EP in late Spring, to be followed up by a Full Length LP before Autumn of this year.
To keep fans happy, the native Detroiter has posted an unplugged version of “I Sleep Fine” one of the tracks that will be released.
Talking of the track Sarah June comments “I wanted to write a song in the vein of 60’s garage rock tunes – that simple catchy melody that makes you want to replay the song because it is just short enough and simple enough to keep you hooked and wanted more. I wrote the song “I Sleep Fine” in only about five minutes, and that is how the simple and raw mood of this song was created. I did not deviate from the original song structure – I just recorded it right then, in it’s most original and unadorned state. I think this is the true beauty of many 1960’s era garage rock songs – the simplicity and the lack of fancy production – just a well-written song which speaks for itself. This song addresses the universal topic of love-gone-wrong but getting over it (I sing: “I sleep fine without you, yes I sleep fine!”). The video for “I Sleep Fine” can be found on youtube.
Sarah June, in addition to being a respected Detroit female singer is also a well known alternative pinup model, and a part of the growing Tattoo Culture. She has been featured in a range of publications including Beat Cave and Gothic Beauty Magazine as both a compelling female vocalist and a tattooed work of art.
